Microsoft today announced to the world that the Lumia 635 smartphone is widely available in markets across Europe and Asia. The 635 is the LTE variant of the Lumia 630, which was released last month.
Coming as the most affordable LTE-capable Windows Phone ever, the Lumia 635 obviously runs the latest Windows Phone 8.1, offering new features like Cortana, Word Flow, Action Center, and on-screen keys.
Similar to the Lumia 630 (which we reviewed here), the Lumia 635 features a 4.5-inch display with 480 x 854 pixels, a quad-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 processor, 512MB of RAM, 8GB of expandable internal memory, 5MP rear camera, and a 1,830 mAh battery. The new handset has a recommended retail price of $189.
Starting “the coming months", the Lumia 635 will be launched in more markets, including in the US, where AT&T, T-Mobile and MetroPCS are going to sell it. The new Windows Phone 8.1 handset will also be released in Canada (via Rogers and Telus). Let us know if you're planning to get a Lumia 635 in the near future!
