Details of Apple Inc.'s iPad Air 2 have
been fairly sparse in comparison to the daily flood of iPhone 6 rumors
this summer. But as the company’s Thursday media event approaches, new
photos have surfaced purporting to show parts of the next generation
iPad Air.

Prime
Minister Alexander Stubb suggested Monday Apple’s success was one of
the factors contributing to Finland's credit rating downgrade last week.
The ratings agency Standard & Poor’s reduced Finland’s rating from
AAA to AA+ Friday, saying the country’s economic outlook has gone from
stable to negative.

Report claims 12.9” iPads to be delayed until next year
Ever since the first rumor last year,
there have been a lot of controversial whispers about Apple's supposed
iPad "Pro", which would come with a large 12.9" display. While some,
more optimistic, techies are hoping to see the new slate at the Apple event, scheduled for October the 16th, others say it will not be announced before our calendars reach 2015, and some even claim that the idea has been shelved altogether, due to the general fall in tablet sales in the past months and lack of proper support from developers.

Apple schedules event for October 16, iPad Air 2 should be unveiled then
Apple just announced that it’s going to host a press event next week, on
October 16, at its campus in Cupertino. As always, the company does not
mention what the event is about, but it says that “it’s been way too
long” - possibly referring to the fact that it’s been almost a year
since its iPad Air was introduced (on October 22, 2013).

Components roll off assembly line for the next 9.7 inch Apple iPad
Those companies involved in supplying Apple with the components
necessary for the tech titan's next-gen 9.7 inch tablet, are beginning
to increase production of these parts. The tablet, rumored to be called
the Apple iPad Air 2, is expected to be thinner than its predecessor,
and powered with the new A8 chip. The device is rumored to be getting a bump in RAM to 2GB,
