The
two-year-old Galaxy Note 2 has surprisingly been included in the list
of devices that are slated to get the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop
firmware update, according to Samsung’s official website in Finland. A
section of the website shows a table, providing details about a number
of handsets and tablets that are scheduled to get the latest update.
While the inclusion of devices such as the Galaxy Note 4 and the Galaxy Note 3 on the list does not come as surprise, the device that has raised some eyebrows is the Galaxy Note 2, SamMobile reported. The list also mentions the Galaxy S5 Mini as a contender for the latest Android version. Other handsets listed on the website include Galaxy Alpha and Galaxy S4.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy S5 in Poland has received yet another Android 5.0 Lollipop update Wednesday while other countries are yet to receive the first instalment. This is the third version of Lollipop -- build number G900FXXU1BNL9 -- for the Poland variant of the Galaxy S5 (SM-G900F).

The Galaxy S5 update comes about a week after Google began rolling out factory images of the latest Android 5.0.1 Lollipop firmware update for its Nexus 5 smartphone. Along with the factory images, Google also released updated binaries for the Nexus 5, which can be useful for developers who want to flash stock software.
