Galaxy Alpha "limited edition" comes in four different... snakeskins? |
Released in the first half of August, the Galaxy Alpha was the first in what turned out to be a whole line of devices that all have one thing in common (other then being Samsung, that is) – all feature premium materials, like metal, with their construction.
But the Alpha isn't just Samsung's first metal smartphone – it is also all kinds of fancy, with an extremely thin, 0.26 in (6.7mm) profile, making it one of the most attractive devices to come out of the company in recent history.
While the Alpha hasn't necessarily
won itself much attention from the media these past months, this doesn't
mean that Samsung isn't looking after it. In the context of the Alpha
being continuously marketed as the Samsung device to go for if you're
the artsy type, a new leak that suggests four separate limited editions
of the phone with leather backs shouldn't surprise you.
Courtesy of @Riccolo1,
the backs are looking quite real, though keep in mind that we're unable
to verify their authenticity at the moment. If real, however, we might
just have our first Samsung device to ship out with what may very well
be snakeskin. It is also unclear if these will be sold separately from
the actual device – despite its thinness, the Alpha's rear still can be
removed and easily exchanged.
