Galaxy Note 5

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 could be unveiled on Aug. 13. As the launch date gets closer, new hands-on photos of the Note 5 phablet have surfaced.
The new photos show a live handset of the Galaxy Note 5 from all angles. It reveals the premium metal and glass construction of the Note 5. Hence, like the Galaxy S6, it does not feature a microSD card slot and removable battery, Droid-Life reported. This means the rumored USB-Type C will not be coming on the Galaxy Note 5.

Unlike the rear of the Galaxy S6, the right and left sides of the Note 5 are curved. The handset appears very appealing sinc3e it sports very thin bezels. In one of the images, a refreshed Air Command menu can be seen that includes an Instagram listing. The bottom bezel houses the slot for spring-loaded S-Pen, a traditional microUSB port, a speaker griller and a 3.5 mm audio jack.

The Galaxy Note 5 is said to be the larger version of the Galaxy S6. It comes with a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display like the Galaxy Note 4 from 2014. It produces a Quad HD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels.

A recent AnTuTu benchmark report reveals that the phablet will be powered by the Exynos 7420 chipset and 4GB of RAM. Both the devices are running on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop enabled with TouchWiz UI. It has recorded an impressive score of 69,702 points on AnTuTu, G for Games reported.

The native storage options available on the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 include 16GB, 32GB and 128GB. It is enabled with 16 MP rear and 5 MP selfie cameras. The handset is powered by a nonremovable battery of 3,000 mAh capacity. It is comparatively smaller in size than the 3,220 mAh battery of the Galaxy Note 4. The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge +, a larger version of the Galaxy S6 Edge will be launched alongside the Galaxy Note 5 on Aug. 13 through the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2015 event.
