LG G4 is now cheaper than ever at T-Mobile: under $500 off contract
The LG G4
is arguably one of the best high-end smartphones that are currently
available in the US, but, of course, not everyone has the money for it.
However, the handset is now cheaper than ever if you want to buy it from
T-Mobile, which lets you get it for just $479.76 off contract.
Prior to today, the off contract price of T-Mobile's LG G4 was $599.76, so that's $120 off the original price. What's more, if you're buying the G4 from T-Mobile before July 31, you'll receive a an extra battery, a charging cradle, and a "limited-edition leather back cover."
For now, T-Mobile is the only US carrier to offer the LG G4 for under $500 off contract. Verizon is selling the phone for $549.99, AT&T is asking $629.99 for it, Sprint's variant costs $600, and US Cellular's version is priced at $610.
The LG G4 runs Android Lollipop out of the box, and has plenty of attractive features, including a 5.5-inch Quad HD display, a 16 MP rear camera with laser auto focus, 8 MP front-facing camera, 3 GB of RAM, and a 3000 mAh removable battery. For more about the smartphone

LG G Pro 3 rumored to come with S820 SoC and 4GB of RAM
The fate of the LG G Pro 3 has been an unclear one and the project was reportedly put on hold a while ago in favor of focusing on the G4. With the mainstream flagship now out and doing well, the company is apparently back on track for releasing a follow-up to the G Pro 2.
If this latest leak is to be believed, the high end phablet will
sport a large 6-inch display with QHD resolution. You'd not be surprised
to hear that the G Pro 3 will likely be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset,
but it will also have 4GB of RAM, so we could expect some serious
multi-window multitasking. There's going to be 32GB of built-in storage
as well as a microSD slot for expansion.
The sources claim a 20.7MP primary camera and that carries a bit of a
Sony vibe, though it could well be the 10:7 Toshiba sensor, utilized in
this year's HTC One M9 and the lot. An 8MP selfie shooter will also be on board.
The handset is tipped to come with a fingerprint sensor, and we
speculate it may be yet another feature to join the camera and the
proprietary control layout on the back. That said, LG was believed to be
skipping fingerprint reading and jumping straight to iris recognition, but it may be reserved for the G5, indeed.
The smartphone is said to be released by the end of the year, but
what sounds less exciting is the rumored price. At $790 it's not exactly
affordable, though befitting a top-end 6-inch phablet.

"I am very much aware of the various concerns in the market about the (Snapdragon) 810, but the chip's performance is quite satisfactory," Woo Ram-chan, LG vice president for mobile product planning, told reporters at a press event for the company's G Flex2 smartphone.
The comment came after Bloomberg reported a day earlier that Samsung Electronics Co Ltd, the world's top smartphone maker, decided not to use the new Qualcomm processor for the next flagship Galaxy S smartphone after the chip overheated during testing. Samsung and Qualcomm have declined to comment on the report, which cited unidentified sources.
Samsung is widely expected to unveil the new Galaxy S smartphone in early March, and Bloomberg reported that the Korean firm will use its own processors instead.
But LG's Woo said on Thursday that internal tests for the G Flex2, powered by the new Qualcomm processor, show that the new product emits less heat than other existing devices. The new phone is scheduled to start selling in South Korea on Jan. 30.
"I don't understand why there is a issue over heat," he said.

LG G3 in India is now getting Android 5.0 Lollipop update |
The LG G3 is the company's flagship and naturally it is the first to get the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop treatment. The new firmware update kicked off in Korea earlier this month, followed by a plethora of countries throughout Europe - Austria, the Baltics, Belgium, Croatia, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Portugal, Romania, Spain and the UK.
Naturally the updates were made available to the unlocked devices first, but those purchased through a carrier should be getting the Lollipop soon as well.

LG unveils the Aka - a smartphone that has an eye on you |
Sure, Siri can crack a joke, but can it really look at you? Of
course it can't, silly, it doesn't have eyes – not like the LG Aka.
Supposedly pronounced "aw-kuh", this Android-powered phone has eyes,
which peek out from its case, and tries to establish an emotional
connection with you.

LG G Watch gets $50 off deal after Apple Watch announcement
In the deluge of Apple news yesterday, anyone interested in Android Wear
may have missed a good deal that hit just after Apple's announcement.
It's hard to not draw a connection here, but right after Apple announced
the Apple Watch, the LG G Watch saw a $50 off deal begin in various
stores.
The LG G Watch has a regular price of $229.
This is a price many have considered a bit high given that the Samsung
Gear Live costs $199 and features almost identical specs and also
includes a heart rate monitor, which the G Watch doesn't have. Now, the

Galaxy Note 4 faces the G3 in an early speed comparison, can you guess who wins?
Samsung Galaxy Note 4 vs LG G3. Snapdragon 805 vs Snapdragon 801. Yes,
things do seem pretty clear on paper, but life isn't lived on paper.
This is why we're so obsessed with the real-life paerformance of our
mobile devices. And while it's too early to talk about the Galaxy Note
4's real-world performance, having in mind that all we've been able to
play with is a unit of the phablet that likely wasn't running
perfectly-final software, we still think that the nice and quick speed
comparison that we put together kind of gives us an indication of what
could be expected out of the Galaxy Note 4 in terms of basic task
execution.

LG G Watch R hands-on
Last week, LG revealed its round Android Wear contender to the popular
Moto 360 – the LG G Watch R, which is the first smartwatch from a major
manufacturer to sport a perfectly-round display (the Moto 360 has some
“wasted” space at the bottom). But is this enough to rule out that the G
Watch R is the best smartwatch up until now? Well, we can't tell if
this will be the case indeed unless we gave the G Watch R right at our
