50b and 50c Oxygen handsets with 5” LCD screens of 720p resolution.
The Archos 50c Oxygen is powered by an octa-core Cortex-A7 CPU running at 1.7GHz on a MediaTek chipset, whereas the Archos 50b Oxygen settles for a quad-core processor of the same architecture and the lower 1.3GHz speed. The RAM is a lowly 1GB on both of new Oxygen smartphones.
The Archos 50b and 50c are powered by 2,000 mAh batteries and offer 8MP cameras that can do 1080p video recording, plus 2MP front-facers. The internal storage will be either 4GB or 8GB on the 50b, while the 50c only has an 8GB version. All three will allow expansion via the microSD card slot.
The two new Archos smartphones run on Android 4.2.2 KitKat and offer dual-SIM support as well as 21Mbps HSDPA. The 50c Oxygen impresses with its 7.64mm waistline, while the 50b isn’t too bad either measuring 8.6mm.
