The Samsung Galaxy Tab S
range of tablets will come with a 8.4-inch / 10.5-inch WQXGA Super
AMOLED display with resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. The tablets will
feature a fingerprint scanner and will be the first one globally to do
so too. The heart will be an Exynos 5420 Octa-core processor which comes
with four 1.9GHz Cortex-A15 cores and four 1.3GHz Cortex-A7 cores.
A 533MHz Mali-T628 GPU
will take charge of the graphics arena. Teaming up with them will be 3GB
of RAM. At the back, there will be an 8MP camera with LED flash and a
2MP front facing camera will be teaming up with it. It will run on
Android 4.4.2 KitKat with Magazine UX on top of it and will get a
patterned back similar to the Galaxy S5.
Talking about the
connectivity features on offer, it will get Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi
Direct, DLNA, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0 LE / ANT+, 4G LTE, GPS,
GLONASS and IR blaster. Samsung will also come with Ultra Power Saving
mode, Download Booster, Remote PC and more.
The launch is almost
there and all the specs of the tablet have been leaked by now with the
official launch being awaited for confirmation of the specs. The Tab S
range of tablets will take the Apple iPad Air and iPad Mini 2 head on.
