Samsung launched its new Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and Tab S 10.5 at the end of last month. These are the company’s flagship tablets for 2014, so it’s obvious that Samsung wants everyone to know about them.
The latest marketing stunt pulled by Samsung was to place a Galaxy Tab S in a New York City cab, next to other three tablets. The three slates (which haven’t been named) feature regular LCD displays, unlike the Tab S - which, as you probably know, sports a Super AMOLED screen with 2,560 x 1,600 pixels.
After looking at all four tablets, passengers in the Tab Cab had to choose which one they liked best. According to Samsung, “17 out of 20 passengers preferred the Samsung Galaxy Tab S.” Most people liked that the screen of the Tab S was clearer, offering more detail and “more light.” However, one passenger thought that the display looked “fake.”
Samsung uploaded a video - embedded below - with some of the reactions that people had in its Tab Cab. We hope that everyone got a free ride for this (if not a free tablet).
