Android 5.0.2 factory image and OTA update now available for OG Nexus 7

Less than a week ago, Google made the Android 5.0.1 Factory Image available for the Nexus 5. A few days before that, T-Mobile's Nexus 5 and Nexus 6 each received an update to Android 5.0.1. And earlier this month, the HTC One (M8) and HTC One (M7) Google Play edition devices also received Android 5.0.1. Now comes word that Google has made the Android 5.0.2 Factory Image available for the OG Nexus 7.

Google is addressing issues that arose with the launch of its new operating system Android 5.0. The tech giant has not commented on the many bugs that came with Android 5.0, but did make the Android 5.0.1 Lollipop available for the Nexus 7, Nexus 9 and Nexus 10 tablets over-the-air on Thursday. Google is now sending the update to these devices wirelessly and users should be prompted to update their devices automatically once the new software hits.

After releasing the Nexus 6 officially yesterday, and announcing that Android L will grace the Nexus 5, 7 and 10 in the coming days, the folks from Mountain View uploaded the actual factory images for these devices for everyone to get their hands on, and start experimenting.
