According to a report published on Thursday, another variant of the Samsung Galaxy S5 is on the way. Named the Samsung Galaxy S5 4G+, the specs are said to match the regular version of the phone, with one difference. Under the hood is a quad-core Snapdragon 805. The phone is scheduled to be launched on August 23rd in Singapore for SingTel, and will be capable of performing on that carrier's 300Mbps LTE-A pipeline.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 4G+ is nothing like the Samsung Galaxy S5 LTE-A. The latter features a 5.1 inch 1440 x 2560 resolution Super AMOLED screen, and a whopping 576ppi pixel density. The former is equipped with the 5.1 inch 1080 x 1920 resolution Super AMOLED screen found on the regular version of Sammy's flagship handset. The pixel density works out to 432ppi on the Galaxy S5 4G+. The price for the phone ranges from $0 USD to $550 USD ($688 SGD) depending on the plan.

"Samsung is proud to unveil the first 4G LTE-Advanced smart phones in Singapore. We recognise that consumers aspire to do more, and what matters most to them is technology that helps them live the lifestyle they desire and gives them the quickest access to their apps and social networks. With devices like the Samsung Galaxy S5 4G+, consumers will be at the forefront of technology – and be able to use a smart phone that pairs powerful hardware with the fastest download speeds."-Irene Ng, Vice President, Regional Marketing, Samsung Asia Pte Ltd

In addition to offering this variant of the Samsung Galaxy S5 in Singapore, Samsung plans on introducing a "4G+" model in September for its metal clad Samsung Galaxy Alpha phone. There is no word on what will make the Samsung Galaxy Alpha 4G+ different from the regular model, but we do expect it to be offered for SingTel.
