Microsoft Lumia 730 ‘selfie phone’ is coming, and even its teaser is a selfie

Lumia 730, Lumia 735
The selfie craze has taken over the world in the past couple of years, and Microsoft thinks that it’s about time it delivered a product for all those people taking a picture of themselves. That product will be the Lumia 730, a phone that will put a lot of focus on the front-facing camera used to take selfies. Even the invitation for the official unveiling of the device is a selfie!

Microsoft will take the wraps off the gadget on September 4th at the IFA show in Berlin, but details about the device have already surfaced. Out in China, images of this upcoming Lumia 730 (as well as of its Lumia 735 4G LTE version) have appeared and we know that its landmark feature will be a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

The Lumia 730 will run on Windows Phone 8.1, of course, and it’s expected to sport a 4.7-inch display.

Apart from the ‘selfie phone’, Microsoft is also said to lift the cover off its Lumia 830, a device it calls ‘an affordable flagship’, and that is expected to boast a PureView camera of some sort. We at PhoneArena will, of course, be covering all the news and events as they unfold at IFA 2014, so stay tuned.
