Sick
of deleting Instagram photos to change or fix your captions? Fret no
longer: Instagram announced a number of changes to its app for iPhone
and Android on Monday, including the ability
to edit captions.
In addition to the ability to edit photo captions,
Instagram also added a new tab to the “Explore” section of its popular
photo-sharing app. In addition to the existing “Photos” tab, the
filter-friendly social network now includes a “People” tab, which will
make “it faster to find people you want to follow,” Instagram said in a blog post.
When you open Explore, you’ll now see two tabs: Photos and
People. The Photos tab has not changed. It contains the same scrolling
grid of photos and videos you already know. The new People tab
highlights interesting accounts for you to discover.
Instagram says that the ability to edit typos was one of
its most-requested features, now appearing as an option underneath
posts. The new feature also lets users change the location of their
posts, which is just asking to be misused by pranksters and bad actors. Instagram is owned by Facebook Inc.
