Apple Opens Up iPhone Code in What Could Be Savvy Strategy or Security Screwup
Developers got a pretty big surprise with the first preview release of
iOS 10. It turns out that the iOS 10 kernel, the heart of the operating
system, was left unencrypted by Apple. This is not only the first time
that Apple has released an unencrypted version of its kernel, but no one
knows why it happened, or even if it was intentional.

with iOS 9.

Vodafone NL confirms 'iPhone 6s' name, everyone feigns surprise
In a reveal that will surprise absolutely no one, the iPhone 6S and
iPhone 6S Plus names have been inadvertently confirmed by the Dutch
Vodafone on the "New Phone Every Year" page.
The iPhone 6c was not mentioned, the hypothetical return to 4" iPhone models. Now, the latest hearsay is that the 6c is unlikely anyway and this does little to change that.

Dutch iPhone 6s and 6s Plus prices leaked, still the same
The Apple iPhone 6s and 6s Plus will be unveiled on September 9 and pre-orders may start as early as September 11. The Netherlands will skip that process by the looks of it, new info suggests that the iPhone duo will go directly to stores no September 25 (perhaps a week after other Euro markets like Germany and France).

Apple iPhone 6s screen and logic board appear on video
A mashup phone consisting of an Apple iPhone 6s screen and logic board, combined with Apple iPhone 6
components, shows up on a video with the device booting up to reveal a
gear icon. Because of the mismatched parts, that is all that will show
up on the screen when the phone is turned on. The video also shows off
the iPhone 6s logic board, which includes the larger Apple A9 chipset.
Right now, the A9 isn't stamped with the chip's name, but you can see it
nonetheless.

Apple starts iSight camera replacement program for certain Apple iPhone 6 Plus units
Apple has acknowledged that it sold some Apple iPhone 6 Plus
units with a faulty iSight camera between September 2014 and January
2015. The cameras on these iPhone 6 Plus models contain a bad component
which results in blurry photographs being taken. As a result, Apple has
initiated a free camera replacement plan to those units that fall within
a small range of serial numbers.

Sprint lets you keep switching to the newest iPhone for $22 per month
Today Sprint has announced a new "revolution" intended for those who are big iPhone fans. The gist of the new iPhone Forever plan is this: you get the newest iPhone for free, then start paying $22 per month. And when a new iPhone launches, you can get it. Without any additional cost. You do however need to trade in your existing iPhone. That's it.

Apple won't release a new 9.7-inch iPad Air this year
![]() |
| Apple won't release a new 9.7-inch iPad Air this year |
Can the world survive without a new 9.7-inch Apple iPad introduced this
year? It might have to if Chinese publication Economic Daily News is
right. A reliable source in the past, the Economic Daily News says that
Foxconn has received orders for the 12.9-inch Apple iPad Pro, and for
the Apple iPad mini 4.
The buzz from Apple's camp is that the tech titan wants the larger iPad Pro to be its flagship slate this year, which could mean that a new Apple iPad Air gets delayed until 2016. Another possible scenario has Apple offering a slightly improved iPad Air this year, similar to what the company did with the Apple iPad mini 3 last year.
Leaked images over the last few months reveal that the iPad Pro should come with four speakers, one near each corner. In addition, a second connector port has been seen on the side of the tablet in some images. This port (possibly a USB Type-C) is in a perfect position to allow the device to be charged while standing up in a dock. A report published earlier this year by the Wall Street Journal said that the iPad Pro would come with a stylus and Apple would offer an optional keyboard and mouse for the product.
Apple is expected to promote the iPad Pro as the perfect tablet for the enterprise and educational markets.

Apple Inc. is fond of patenting futuristic new features for its iPhone, plenty of which it never implements into consumer models. Last week, it was awarded a patent for a built-in laser that would allow the iPhone to map indoor areas.

Apple iPhone 6 Review
1. Introduction
Two years ago, Apple’s venerable iPhone received one of the biggest design changes in its history. Previous to the unveiling of the iPhone 5, all other iPhones before it featured 3.5-inch screens – a large screen size for a phone back in 2007, but hardly the stuff that contended with the more spacious

This infographic explores the early years of smartphones and the rise of the iPhone
Imagine a world without smartphones. Go on, we'll wait. Now remember the
first time you grasped such a device in your hand and try to reminisce
of the feelings that you experienced at that point. While many of you
will hardly recall their first encounter with a smartphone, you can
surely remember the exact make and model of the device.
Depending
on your age, you might have witnessed the rise and fall of certain
manufacturers, as well as the gradual shift towards more uniform, less
discerning from one

Tech explained: Here's how the iPhone 6's new, bigger screen will improve user experience
Without a doubt, the most important new features of the just-announced iPhone 6 and 6 Plus
are their large displays. The more regularly-sized iPhone 6 will come
with a 4.7" panel, while the significantly larger iPhone 6 Plus will
feature a massive, 5.5" screen. But as you might have guessed, that's
not all there is to these new displays. Apple has practically improved
each and every aspect of its IPS LCD screens, not only on the hardware
level, but also in terms of integrating them better with the iOS
experience through some smart software features. Let take a deeper look
at the various ways that the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus' screens are

Apple iPhone 6 and 6 Plus will be the first iPhones with 128 GB of storage
The new iPhone 6 series has finally been announced, and while there are tons of things
to research and enjoy right now, one of the new things for Apple and its
new iPhones kind of stood out. The iPhone 6 and 6 Plus will actually be
the first iPhones ever to arrive with a maximum storage capacity of 128
GB!
So, that's obviously quite a lot of space (and
it'll also cost quite a bit), but it's good to see Apple out its new
iPhones with a 128 GB

Apple iPhone 6 design was leaked back in March

Apple Pay will launch October, turns your iPhone into a secure payment platform
Rumors of Apple implementing a mobile payment system in theiPhone 6 turned out to be true! The credit card system is five decades old, and
it's so easy to lose your card - said Tim Cook. No wonder Apple wanted
to give a go at replacing the archaic system, and behold, Apple Pay was
born! The system uses a NFC module positioned on top of the phone for
payments in physical locations, and TouchID authentication to authorize
online payments via Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. Users simply
