OnePlus announced earlier this year that it would be bringing the OnePlus One to India, with no mention of a specific launch window. Economic Times has further details on the upcoming launch, stating that the handset will be making its way to the country by December.

OnePlus is said to be in talks with leading e-commerce stores in the country, with a final decision expected to be made later this week. Talking to ET, director of OnePlus Carl Pei had this to say:
India is a super hot market with rapid data growth and this is the right time to enter the market. We are talking to all three leading e-commerce players in India to start our operations. We hope to finalise our partner this week.
The handset vendor will deviate away from the invite-based system it has followed in other countries, and will instead sell devices through pre-orders. Initially, the 64 GB model is expected to make its debut in the country, followed by the 16 GB version. While a price has not been finalized, Pei said that the device will cost in the vicinity of Rs. 20,000 ($330). Pei also mentioned that OnePlus will be building a base of operations in the country.
We are selling our device in 17 countries without any support, but India will be the first country to have a dedicated team outside China.
OnePlus will not be the only Chinese handset vendor launching its wares in December, as Xiaomi is also scheduled to launch the Mi 4 in the country during that time. Between the Mi 3, Moto G and the imminent arrival of the OnePlus One and the Mi 4, Indian customers are spoilt for choice when it comes to great value for money devices.
