An anonymous Samsung employee has reportedly confirmed previous rumors that the South Korean technology giant is planning a massive overhaul of its next-generation flagship smartphone, dubbed the Galaxy S6, which is being developed under the codename, “Project Zero.” The purported official source also revealed more information about the Galaxy S6, adding that the company is testing several prototypes of the upcoming handset.

South Korea's Samsung Electronics Co Ltd on Thursday reported a 24.6 percent fall in second-quarter operating profit, in line with guidance, due to disappointing returns from its smartphone business.

One of the models of Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S6 smartphone has arrived in India for testing, according to a report, based on local import records.


The Galaxy S6 model, which carries the model number “SM-G920F,” has been sent from South Korea “for R&D purpose,” suggesting that the device is not a retail unit, SamMobile reported, adding that the letter “F” in the model number signifies that the handset is a European variant.

AnTuTu is a benchmark app for Android devices that tests various parts of a device and assigns an overall score to it.
