Samsung Galaxy S6 With Android 5.0 Lollipop Appears On AnTuTu Benchmark

AnTuTu benchmark has the details of the Galaxy S6, which is said to be a European variant with the model number SM-G925F.

Samsung’s next-generation Galaxy S smartphone, dubbed the “Galaxy S6,” has made an appearance on the database of AnTuTu benchmark application, which leaks out details about its specifications and features. AnTuTu is a benchmark app for Android devices that tests various parts of a device and assigns an overall score to it.

Although Samsung is yet to announce the upcoming flagship smartphone, the AnTuTu benchmark already has details about its specifications, which is said to be a European variant with model number SM-G925F, SamMobile reported.

A screenshot of the AnTuTu page, showing Galaxy S6 specs, indicates that the handset could feature a larger 5.5-inch QHD display with a screen resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, a 20 megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel front camera.

The device is said to be powered by a 64-bit octa-core Exynos 7420 processor and 3GB RAM, and runs on the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system. The screenshot also suggests that the device could have a 32GB version.

Recent reports rumored that Samsung could launch the Galaxy S6 at the 2015 World Mobile Congress conference in Barcelona in early March. However, a report by Business Korea said Thursday that the Galaxy S6 release could be delayed due to several issues with the Snapdragon 810 chip including overheating and an error in the Adreno 430 GPU drivers. The Snapdragon 810 chip is expected to power most of the major flagship Android smartphones.

Earlier reports suggested that Galaxy S6 was currently in its early stages of development under codename “Project Zero,” as the South Korean tech firm was looking to develop the device from scratch.
