Android 5.0 Lollipop Now Available For Most Nexus Devices; OTA Updates Available

An engineering program manager at Android has announced that Android 5.0 Lollipop with the build LRX21T is “locked and loaded” for the Nexus 4.
The latest Android 5.0 Lollipop is currently available for most Nexus devices through over-the-air, or OTA, updates. Although all users of supported Nexus devices may not get the new firmware
immediately as the update is being rolled out in phases, users can download the OTA zip files and manually install the latest Android version on their devices.

On Wednesday, the official Android Twitter account sent out a tweet, announcing the release of the Android 5.0 Lollipop.

Some Nexus devices, including the Nexus 4, Nexus 7 2013 LTE and Nexus 7 2012 3G, are yet to receive the new operating system, while other devices, such as Nexus 9, Nexus 10, Nexus 5, Nexus 7 2013 (Wi-Fi) and Nexus 7 2012 (Wi-Fi) currently support Android 5.0 Lollipop.

While it is unclear when the remaining Nexus devices will be upgraded to the new OS, an engineering program manager at Android has announced on Google+ that Android 5.0 Lollipop with the build number LRX21T is “locked and loaded” for the Nexus 4. According to him, the update will be available for Nexus 4 soon.
