Liquid Jade S is Acer's first 64-bit smartphone |
Acer this week announced the Liquid Jade S, an upgraded version of the Liquid Jade that was unveiled back in May.
The new Liquid will be launched in Taiwan - Acer’s home country - on December 18 for around $225 (6,990 TWD in local currency). That’s not a bad price for what the handset has to offer, starting with a 5-inch 720p IPS display, LTE connectivity, dual-SIM capabilities, and DTS sound. The smartphone also features a 13 MP rear camera, 5 MP front-facing camera, 2 GB of RAM, and 16 GB of expandable storage space. Measuring 143 x 69 x 7.78 mm and weighing 116 grams, the Liquid Jade S includes a 2300 mAh battery.
At the moment, Acer’s new handset runs Android 4.4 KitKat, and we assume it will be updated to Lollipop. Apart from being released in Taiwan, the Liquid Jade S will also be available in India (and probably in other markets, too). Any takers?
